Research Overview
The overarching goal of Dr. Shah's medical innovation research laboratory is to enable every patient affected by gastrointestinal health problems to receive high-quality, evidence-based care wherever they seek care. To achieve this goal, his lab has two main priorities:
- To develop new medical technologies and lead clinical trials that improve care for patients affected by gastrointestinal disorders.
- To conduct rigorous cost-effectiveness and health economics studies to maximize value and access to care. This works aims to align the priorities of legislators, policymakers, health insurers, and industry with those of patients and their healthcare providers.
