About
Dr. Nwagwu received her medical degree from the University of Lagos-Nigeria, College of Medicine, 2004. She completed a Family Medicine residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, Livonia Michigan (part of Trinity Health System) in 2013, and a Geriatric Medicine fellowship at University of Michigan in 2014. She pursued an additional certification in wound care through the American Board of Wound Management in 2020. She is board certified in Family medicine, Geriatric medicine and Wound care.
Her special interests include Geriatric primary care, Ambulatory clinics, Preventive medicine/ Wellness, Post-acute care (subacute rehab care), Geriatric wound care/ wound care education, patient education as well as education for medical learners and trainees at various levels.
