About
Albert DiPiero MD MPH FACP will join the Division of General Medicine as a part-time Adjunct Assistant Professor on April 1, 2024, and will be practicing at the Taubman Health Center. He completed his undergraduate education here in Ann Arbor before going to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He stayed at UCSF for his residency in Internal Medicine. Prior to coming to Michigan Medicine, he has worked the past 26 years as a primary care physician-educator and Associate Professor at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He has spent his professional career as a practicing general internist and as a healthcare entrepreneur who has founded and brought to market multiple healthcare companies. Most recently he built ZoomCare up from scratch to become the leading on-demand health system in the Pacific Northwest, with 40 locations in Oregon and Washington. His clinical interests include complex chronic illness management, fitness and health promotion through lifestyle modification, and innovation in healthcare based on the intersection of technology, patient empowerment, and easy clinical access. He and his family have moved back to his home town in Michigan to be closer to extended family. Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his wife trying to figure out how to raise two teenagers into contributing members of society.
