About
Dr. Hunter obtained his bachelor's degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and then completed medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He went on to complete a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds) at The Medical College of Ohio (now the University of Toledo Medical Center). After finishing his residency he worked for several different health care organizations including the Indian Health Service, Kaiser Permanente and the Department of Veteran Affairs before joining the University of Michigan in 2014. In addition to being a hospitalist he has practiced in a number of different settings including primary care, nursing home, hospice and helped to found a free medical clinic.
In his spare time Dr. Hunter enjoys fly fishing and bicycling (mountain and road) as well as cooking.
