  • About

Dr Warhadpande completed his surgical internship and radiology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he served as the Chief Resident in his final year. He went on to complete his Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) training at the Medical College of Wisconsin – one of the most decorated and clinical VIR training programs in the country.

During his training, Dr Warhadpande was heavily involved in the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and served as the Governing Council Chair of the Resident/Fellow Section. He has published over 20 manuscripts in various journals and has presented at numerous national IR meetings.

He is also the co-editor and co-author of one of the best-selling textbooks in interventional radiology, The Pocketbook of Clinical IR: A Concise Guide to Interventional Radiology.

At the University of Michigan, Dr Warhadpande has taken a keen interest in providing minimally-invasive pain interventions in the oncologic and non-oncologic patient populations. This includes nerve ablations, soft tissue lesion cryoablations, and bony lesion radiofrequency ablation and cementoplasty.

From an endovascular standpoint, Dr Warhadpande’s expertise and research interest is in providing embolotherapy. This is a new frontier in medicine and Dr Warhadpande offers Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE) for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, Geniculate Artery Embolization (GAE) for knee osteoarthritis, and Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) for fibroids.
