About
Born and raised in Northwest Ohio to proud Lebanese Immigrants. Received undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo in Respiratory Therapy. Moved to Quito, Ecuador to learn Spanish and received medical degree from the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador. Completed residency training and served as co-chief resident in the Department of Family Medicine at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Currently serves on Faculty Senate committee on Anti-Racism and on the Advisory Committee for the Advancement of LGBTQ+ Health at Michigan Medicine. Dr. Abou-Arab is fluent in Spanish and Arabic.
