About
Dr. David Cooke grew up in New Jersey, and graduated from Brandeis University. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan, and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin, He has been on faculty at Michigan Medicine since 1999, and his main activity remains primary care internal medicine, but he also has a subspecialty interest in medical management for chronic pain. He consulted for the Michigan Medicine Anesthesia Back & Pain Center from 2013 to 2019, and current consults for the Michigan Pancreas Program. He also provides assistance for Michigan physicians through the pain medication management e-Consult program.
Areas of Practice
Primary Care and chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, heart disease, COPD) at the East Ann Arbor Health Center. Medication optimization for chronic pain management, opioid detoxification, and benzodiazepine detoxification at the Anesthesia Back & Pain Center.
