About
Dr. Elisabeth (Beth) Pedersen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan. She is a board-certified dermatologist and provides patient care within our Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Clinic at the Taubman Center and Rogel Cancer Center.
Dr. Pedersen specializes in advanced and high-risk skin cancer. She sees patients with Merkel cell carcinoma, melanoma, and advanced basal cell carcinoma. She also has a particular interest in rare skin cancers including dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans and other skin sarcomas.
Dr. Pedersen received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees through at the University of Michigan. She completed dermatology residency and postdoctoral research training at the University of Michigan Medical School. In addition to her clinical practice, she performs laboratory research focused on understanding the molecular and cellular biology of skin cancers, with the goal of identifying new strategies for cancer treatment.
