About
Dr. Shah's administrative focus lies at the intersection of perioperative care, quality improvement, and information technology. His health services research interests include using large clinical datasets and novel information technology to improve perioperative quality.
As QI Director of MPOG and Program Director for Anesthesiology Performance Improvement & Reporting Exchange (ASPIRE) CQI, his role is to lead collaborative quality improvement efforts across its 70+ member institutions, including 40 across the state of Michigan. These groups focus on developing infrastructure for its member sites to determine performance across providers and hospitals and collaborate across hospitals and health systems.
Within Michigan Medicine, he is the Associate Chair of Technology for the department of Anesthesiology and Executive Director of the department's informatics group, MAISE, where he leads a team that develops technology and workflow solutions for perioperative quality improvement, research, clinical and business operations.
