About
Dr. Carver is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Hospital Dentistry and serves as program director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Michigan, where she also earned her medical degree. She then completed fellowship training in cleft and craniofacial surgery in the Department of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital before returning to the University of Michigan as a faculty member.
Dr. Carver specializes in comprehensive pediatric oral and maxillofacial care. She has special focus on the treatment of cleft lip and palate, alveolar cleft bone grafting, and orthognathic (jaw) surgery. She also treats a wide range of other congenital conditions as well as soft and hard tissue pathology of the face and jaws. Her clinical approach emphasizes multidisciplinary, patient-centered care for children and families navigating complex craniofacial conditions.
