Frankel Cardiovascular Center Parking Structure (P5)

The P5 parking structure is for Frankel Cardiovascular Center patients and the family and friends who accompany them to appointments.

This parking structure is located directly below the Cardiovascular Center (CVC) on Ann Street at Observatory Street.

• Hours: Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
• Valet Service: Available for a $10 fee for patients and visitors Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Accessible parking: Accessible parking spaces are available. Current rates apply except for individuals with a "FREE PARKING" decal affixed to their state-issued handicap placard.
• Self Park Parking Rates
• Payment: Paying for parking in the P5 parking structure:
  • When entering the garage, take a ticket and keep it with you.
  • Before returning to your car, pay for parking at the pay-on-foot stations located within the parking structure elevator lobby at the main entrance level. Credit cards and cash are accepted at the pay stations.
  • When you reach the exit gate, use your paid ticket as an exit pass. If you forgot to pay at the pay station, use a credit card to pay at the exit gate.
• Ticket Validation: For those who park longer than 8 hours, your parking ticket may be stamped/validated for a discounted daily rate.

Other Parking Option

Two other parking structures are available off East Medical Center Drive, giving you access to University Hospital and Taubman Center. Valet service is available at University Hospital and the Cancer Center. Signage to an indoor walkway on Level 2 of University Hospital will help direct you to the Cardiovascular Center. Art Gallery

The Gifts of Art art galleries integrate the arts into the care environment, fostering hope, dignity, and respect, while also celebrating the diversity of our community. The exhibits, which change quarterly, showcase a wide range of styles, mediums, and subjects. They are accessible both in-person and online.

Atrium

This five-story, beautiful atrium is a focal point of the CVC. On most floors, guests can view the magnificence of the atrium by overlooking its tropical gardens and flowing water. The indoor atrium provides a calming place to sit and reflect.

Danto Auditorium

The Danto Auditorium, located on Level 2, is designed with education in mind, and is equipped with the latest high-tech audio and visual equipment. Classrooms and conference rooms in the auditorium give faculty the opportunity to use the auditorium for teaching medical students, and hosting seminars and academic functions. Cameras in some procedure rooms will allow faculty to show students and guests in the auditorium a procedure real-time, providing two-way communication.

Mardigian Wellness Resource Center

The Mardigian Wellness Resource Center mission is to empower patients, families and the general public to make informed decisions about their health and communicate effectively with clinicians. It is a free-of-charge, full-service library with a comprehensive collection of print and audiovisual resources on all aspects of cardiovascular health and wellness in patient-friendly language. Topics include: diseases and conditions, treatments methods, healthy lifestyle, stress reduction, and heart disease prevention. You may also search our catalog of resources online.

Public WiFi

Free public Wi-Fi is available in nearly all Michigan Medicine facilities. Guests can use this network to access the Internet from patient rooms, waiting areas, cafeterias, and other locations. Visit Computer & Internet Use for more information.

Quiet/Meditation Rooms

Two quiet meditation rooms are in the Cardiovascular Center, giving families a serene place to go when quiet time is needed. The rooms are decorated in different “quiet” themes and are available for anyone for reflection and respite. No food or drinks are permitted in these rooms.

Vending Machines

Vending machines with beverages and healthy snack items are available on Level 2. You can take the connector on Level 2 of the Cardiovascular Center to University Hospital where a full cafeteria and vending machines are available.

Welcome Desk

The Welcome Desk on Level 3 at the main entrance is the first place a patient or visitor should go when arriving at the Cardiovascular Center. From the Welcome Desk, patients will be directed to nearby elevators for services on other floors. Receptionists have maps of the Cardiovascular Center to help patients find their location.
