    The D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion in Ann Arbor is our newest adult inpatient hospital. The state-of-the-art hospital, opened in November 2025, is a 12-story, 690,000 square foot facility featuring 264 private inpatient rooms, 20 operating rooms and 3 interventional radiology suites. The building primarily supports cardiovascular, neurological, head and neck and spine care.

    Parking Options

    Valet Service

    Available at the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion entrance for a $10 fee for patients, family and visitors, Monday through Friday 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Frankel Cardiovascular Center Parking Structure (P5)

    Parking structure P5 is recommended for patients, family and visitors to the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion.

    This parking structure is located below the Cardiovascular Center at Ann Street at Observatory Street.

    • Hours: 24 hours, 7 days a week
    • Accessible parking: Accessible parking spaces are available. Current rates apply except for individuals with a "FREE PARKING" decal affixed to their state-issued handicap placard.
    • Parking Rates: See Self Park Parking Rates
    • Payment: Paying for parking in the P5 parking structure:
      • When entering the garage, take a ticket and keep it with you.
      • Before returning to your car, pay for parking at the pay-on-foot stations located within the parking structure elevator lobby at the main entrance level. Credit cards and cash are accepted at the pay stations.
      • When you reach the exit gate, use your paid ticket as an exit pass. If you forgot to pay at the pay station, use a credit card to pay at the exit gate.
    • Ticket Validation: For those who park longer than 8 hours, your parking ticket may be stamped/validated for a discounted daily rate.

    Art Gallery

    Over 350 pieces of artwork by more than 35 artists are on display in the pavilion, chosen exclusively for this beautiful healing space.

    Chapel

    The Kahn Farhat Interfaith Chapel is a tranquil space for prayer, meditation, and reflection amidst the business of the hospital. The chapel is open 24/7 to patients, visitors, and staff of all spiritual backgrounds. The chapel is located on the 3rd floor off the main lobby space.

    Conference Room

    The Danto Conference Room, located on Level 3, is equipped with audio and visual capabilities for meetings and presentations. The space is designed to support teaching medical students, hosting seminars and academic functions.

    Lactation Rooms

    Lactation rooms for patients, visitors and staff are located on floors 3, 5, and 8-12.

    Lobby

    The welcoming lobby features patient waiting spaces, a fireplace, natural stone and wood features, and comfortable seating for patients and families.

    Patient Resource Library

    The Patient & Family Library features health and wellness resources, computers and printers available for use, and quiet respite spaces for patient families. It is located on the third floor off the main lobby space.

    Public WiFi

    Free public Wi-Fi is available in nearly all Michigan Medicine facilities. Guests can use this network to access the Internet from patient rooms, waiting areas, cafeterias, and other locations Visit Computer & Internet Use for more information.

    Welcome Desk

    Friendly and knowledgeable Welcome Center staff can assist with directions to appointments, help locate patients, provide maps and other wayfinding resources, and offer information about local attractions, restaurants, and lodging.
