If you are a cancer patient aged 15-39, we understand your unique needs and challenges. Balancing high school, college, career, or family life while managing a cancer diagnosis can be isolating. Our Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program is here to support you.
Our Approach
Our Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Program is a multidisciplinary team that treats cancer patients aged 15-39. The team is made up of adult and pediatric oncologists; adolescent medicine and adult and pediatric social workers; researchers and others with expertise in supporting adolescents and young adults living with cancer. Our program initiatives are led by our AYA Patient Advisory Council, which is composed of young people who have gone through cancer treatment.

Led by our director of research, Anao Zhang, PhD, we partner with the School of Social Work to facilitate patient centered research aimed to improve the lives of young people during and after cancer treatment.
