June 20, 2026 - "On [...] I saw Dr. Shanti Eswaran for a consultation regarding my [...]. I had asked to be referred to a center that specializes in treating my condition since I continue to struggle with symptoms at times despite my efforts [...] I have experience with U of M as my husband is a patient with a [...] and has been receiving excellent expert care there for years. So, the referral to U of M was welcomed because I felt the knowledge level of the specialists at U of M is at a top level. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite of what I had hoped for. I had reasonable expectations that I would have a consultation with an expert in functional bowel disorders and hopefully come away with answers and a treatment plan that addressed my condition comprehensively. From the start, I did not feel that I was a part of a specialty "center" at all. Dr. Eswaran introduced herself and immediately said "how can I help" in a disingenuous way that reminded me of a salesperson behind a retail counter. Her manner during the entire visit was uncaring and dismissive and left me feeling invalidated. There was no in depth discussion where her knowledge was shared or even the offer of advanced ideas. I was offered [...]. She offered a visit with a nutritionist, colonoscopy and a lab draw. After that, she said "I need to let you go because I have other patients waiting." The visit was a total of 30-40 minutes and did not include any physical exam. I expected at least a comprehensive visit that didn't feel like it was a follow appointment. [...] I won't be back to your GI clinic and certainly won't see Dr. Shanti Eswaran who does not have expertise, a caring attitude or enthusiasm for her field."

June 6, 2026 - "Dr. Eswaran is a great Gastroenterologist, she has been managing my healthcare for over [...] years now and I would want anyone else. She always knows what tests I require and exactly what to do with all my issues. She is an amazing person all the way around!!!"

May 27, 2026 - "Dr Eswaran is one of the best physicians that I ever had in my life thus far. She's empathetic, which is needed especially dealing with serious chronic conditions. You can tell she researches and stays up to date [...]. She makes you feel heard and is a great human being and doing what she's meant to do-found her calling."

May 13, 2026 - "Dr.Eswaran is incredibly smart, kind, and thoughtful. I'm lucky to have her as my doctor."

April 29, 2026 - "Dr. Eswaran is a very good listener. She keeps you on task by asking questions to clarify. She has an awesome bedside manner. She goes above and beyond to treat the patient, not just the symptoms."

April 10, 2026 - "Dr Eswaran really cared about me- not only my physical health but my mental emotional health. She really cared about ME."

March 6, 2026 - "Dr. Eswaran is very professional, kind and empathetic. She always listens and has great advice."

December 11, 2025 - "Dr. Eswaran was very kind, but I felt very rushed during the appointment and felt as though there was not enough time to ask questions. [...]"

December 10, 2025 - "Dr Eswaran is the best [...]"

December 10, 2025 - "Dr. Eswaran was great. We covered everything and made a plan."
