Laura Maria Crespo Albiac, MD

Hello! My name is Laura Crespo Albiac. I was born in Spain, and spent my childhood moving back and forth between Europe and the U.S. I attended the University of Michigan for undergrad, majoring in Neuroscience, and then moved to Chicago to study medicine and experience the big city. While in Chicago, I was blessed to work with very diverse communities, and was inspired by how family physicians broke through many barriers, including institutional and economic, to improve health in these communities.

Though I loved Chicago, I always dreamed of coming back to Ann Arbor, where the community is smaller but still diverse, where there is a balance of academics and community, research opportunities, and mental health training. I am interested in all fields family medicine has to offer, though currently, I am particularly interested in women's health. But who knows how my interests will change during training!

In my free time I enjoy reading, playing video games, playing with my three cats, traveling with my husband, and spending time with friends.
