Christine Ann Thornsberry, NP

Christine Thornsberry is a palliative care nurse practitioner providing complex symptom relief and support at the Rogel Cancer Center. She began her career as an oncology nurse at an academic institution and held chemotherapy/biotherapy certification. After obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Toledo in 2018 and obtaining AANP certification, she began her nurse practitioner journey at a community based mental health center providing inpatient withdraw management services. This experience provided valuable training in complex opioid management as well as complex psychosocial situations. Despite the passion developed for this area of medicine, she felt the pull back to the chronically ill with a mission to improve their quality of life and journey with illness. Christine went on to work at a community non-profit hospice organization, specifically in the palliative care department, providing services in a range of settings including the home, nursing facilities, long term acute care hospitals, and traditional hospital centers. She holds advanced certification in hospice and palliative care as well as CAPC Designated and has completed the VitalTalk and Respecting Choices programs.
