Eleanor Marie Nahat, NP

Eleanor Nahat, MSN, AGACNP-BC is a nurse practitioner at Michigan Medicine Frankel Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor, MI. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2012 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2017- both degrees completed at the University of Michigan. She is a board certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Eleanor started her nursing career at Loyola Medicine in Chicago, IL where she provided bedside care to patients with cardiovascular disease. She then returned to Ann Arbor to pursue her Master's degree while continuing to provide care to internal medicine patients on an inpatient telemetry unit at Michigan Medicine. Eleanor began her nurse practitioner career with the inpatient cardiac surgery service in 2017 where she developed clinical expertise in the care and management of acutely/critically ill patients requiring cardiovascular interventions.

In 2021, Eleanor transitioned to interventional cardiology/cardiac cath lab. In this role, Eleanor assists the attending interventional cardiologist with all cath lab procedures, including right and left heart catheterizations, coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral artery disease and percutaneous intervention, structural heart interventions, including ASD/PFO closure, pericardiocentesis, and aortic and mitral valve interventions, pulmonary angiography, and mechanical circulatory support. She also sees patients in the interventional cardiology clinic where her interests include preventative cardiology and the medical management of cardiovascular disease, including blood pressure and cholesterol management. In her free time, Eleanor is an avid runner, enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, and going on walks/hikes with her family and dog.
