Popcorn Toss

Child tossing popcorn into cup to obtain points

How many points can you earn? Can you toss the popcorn into the furthest cup?

What You’ll Need:

  • Five or six plastic drinking cups
  • Permanent marker
  • Bag of popped popcorn

Child drawing number on plastic cup

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Using the permanent marker, label your cups with a number of points for each cup. We did our cups in increments of 10 (10, 20, 30, etc.).
  • Step 2: Line up the cups on a countertop or table with the lowest points cup closest to you and going up in value as the cups get further away from you (see photo above).
  • Step 3: You’re ready to play! Grab your popcorn and take turns tossing the kernels into the cups! Change up the game each time you play. For example, start by giving each person 10 pieces of popcorn and whoever gets the most points wins. Or play a round with whoever can get the most pieces of popcorn into any cup.
