About
Vijay Singh, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., F.A.A.F.P., Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine, earned his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and master’s degree in public health and post-doctoral research fellowship from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. His family medicine residency training was at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he served as an academic chief resident. He additionally obtained a master's degree in health and health care research at the University of Michigan, where he completed the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program.
Dr. Singh is a board-certified family medicine physician who works clinically in Medical Short Stay Unit, part of the Division of Hospital Medicine. His research interest is in health care identification of and response to intimate partner violence and adolescent dating violence. His research has been supported by grants from the World Health Organization, American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Foundation, and Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, member of the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center and Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation.
