About
Elizabeth Tronstein, DPM, MPH is a dually appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Tronstein was raised in Michigan, and she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She completed her Masters in Public Health at Yale University. She graduated from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University. She completed her 3-year PMSR/RRA residency from Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Dr. Tronstein completed a Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care Fellowship at Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont). She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine with an added credential in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care, and she is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Her academic interests include limb preservation, wound care and wound prevention. She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, backpacking in her free time.
