Mental Health Services

CGSP clinical social workers provide counseling services for people who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming, gender queer, or nonbinary. Services are also provided to people questioning their gender. CGSP clinical social workers are able to write referral letters for medical services, as appropriate, depending on each individual’s unique goals. To make an appointment, please call 734-998-2150.

Please note that CGSP at Michigan Medicine accepts referral letters for medical intervention from fully licensed mental health providers who have experience with people whose gender identity differs from their assigned sex. The provider must have met with the patient live, in person, face-to-face, and the referral must indicate whether the person meets WPATH criteria for the service(s) they are requesting.
