Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Our University of Michigan oral and maxillofacial surgeons are dedicated to treating defects and injuries of the head, face and neck including the mouth, teeth, and jaws. We care for children and adults with conditions that include head and neck cancer, tumors and cysts of the jaws, cleft and craniofacial deformities, obstructive sleep apnea, facial injuries from accidents, facial pain and temporal mandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and reconstructive and dental implant surgery.

In our clinic at the University of Michigan Health Systrem, we provide excellent patient care, contribute to basic and clinical research, and train the future leaders in the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession.

We offer diagnostic evaluation and surgical care for patients of all ages for:

  • Tissue resection
  • Tumor and cyst removal
  • Cleft lip & palate repair
  • Reconstructive jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery)
