Insurance

The University of Michigan Health System accepts most insurance plans such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare Standard. We also have a number of contractual arrangements with various managed care plans.  Prior to scheduling your hospital or clinic visit, we recommend that you check with your health plan to see if you have access to health care at the University of Michigan.  If your insurance is not one of the Participating Insurance Plans listed below, we will send your insurance plan a bill as a courtesy, but any amounts your insurance company does not pay will be your responsibility.  We recommend that you check with your insurance plan regarding benefit coverage and out-of-pocket costs.  If you have additional questions about a specific insurance, you can contact Customer Service at (734) 615-0863 or (855) 855-0863.
