Dr. Petersen earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan (2010), where she also completed her residency training in family medicine (2013). Additionally, she recently finished a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at U-M (2014). Her clinical interests include prenatal care, maternal-infant care, advance care planning, and care of the medically complex patient. Her research interests include in-hospital end of life care, perinatal palliative care, peer review in resident education, and medical student education. She sees patients on the Department's Adult Palliative Care Consult Service. She delivers babies, as well as manages labor and delivery, and provides well newborn care, on the Department's Family Mother Baby obstetrical service. She sees patients Family Medicine at Chelsea Health Center.
