Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA)
The recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) are nutritional guidelines established and periodically reviewed by the United States government's Food and Nutrition Board (part of the National Academy of Sciences). The RDAs are the average daily amounts of nutrients such as carbohydrate, fat, protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals that most healthy people need each day.
