The University of Michigan Department of Dermatology has been a leader in patient care, research and education since 1905. Each year, more than 41,000 patients receive care in our outpatient offices for a range of rare and common dermatologic disorders.

Our dedication to scientific research has made the University of Michigan a leading center for the investigation of many skin diseases. Our physicians are experts in the diagnosis and advanced treatment of adult, adolescent and pediatric patients with serious as well as complex dermatologic problems.

General Dermatology

In our General Dermatology Offices, patients of all ages are treated by a team of experts in:

You must be referred by your primary care physician or other dermatologist. If you have been diagnosed with skin cancer, you may schedule your appointment directly with our Skin Cancer Program.

Cosmetic Dermatology & Laser Center

Located within the Taubman Center, the Cosmetic Dermatology & Laser Center provides safe and effective treatment for cosmetic skin concerns via state-of-the-art techniques and laser technology.  Our talented and skilled physicians provide private, personalized care and administer all procedures within a world-class medical facility. Our dedicated nursing staff will assist you before, during and after your procedures. Consultation requests are NOT required. Appointments may be scheduled directly at 734-615-0682.

Our physicians provide expert care for patients of all ages with diagnosed skin cancer, such as melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, skin lymphoma and other rarer forms of skin cancer.
