About
Dr. Pangilinan is the medical student clerkship director for PM&R. His clinical practice is in neurorehabilitation, including staffing the in-patient rehabilitation unit, and staffing the TBI/Polytrauma out-patient clinic in the VA-Ann Arbor. He is a consultant at the Heartland of Ann Arbor subacute service. As clerkship director, he works with 4th year medical students, and is the PM&R faculty advisor for students interested in PM&R residency programs. He was involved in the planning of the new medical student curriculum.
As part of that effort, he will be a teaching faculty/coach for a group of students in one of four “M-Homes,” which are designed to give the student a “home base” for mentoring and learning. He is a member of the Admission Committee/ Admissions Executive Committee. His current research has involved investigating diagnostic and prognostic factors in veterans with TBI. Dr. Pangilinan is a member of the AAP’s education committee and also serves as the president of the AAP’s Medical Student Educators Council.
