    Dr. Munson is a podiatrist, a dually appointed Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Internal Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Munson created the Podiatry Research Fellowship in Limb Preservation and Diabetic Lower Extremity Complications, and served as it’s first fellowship director. After graduating with honors from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Munson completed his residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2000 and went on to a foot and ankle surgical fellowship at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Dr. Munson was in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio and Columbia, South Carolina. He is experienced with general podiatry including: bunions, hammertoes, gout, sports injuries/fractures, heel pain, ingrown and fungal toenails, and warts. His primary interest is in preventative diabetic foot care and wound care.
