Dr. Vitale received her medical degree from Wayne State University
School of Medicine, Detroit, and her residency training from the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, New York. She completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Vitale is board-certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. Her clinical interests include dementia, end-of-life care and geriatric primary care. In addition, her research interests include studying health care professionals’ attitudes about life-sustaining treatments in advanced dementia.
