Dr. Maust is a geriatric psychiatrist and health services researcher. He has two primary areas of research interest. First, he is interested in understanding both the drivers and consequences of potentially inappropriate psychotropic use among older adults, focusing on benzodiazepines and antipsychotics. In addition, his research explores the factors that drive the potentially inappropriate healthcare utilization of patients with dementia.
