Dr. Baptist was born and raised in suburban Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and medical degree from Loyola University Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan and then also completed his fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Michigan. He next completed a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Baptist currently serves as the Director of the University of Michigan Asthma Program, and is also the Program Director for the Allergy/Immunology fellowship training program. Dr. Baptist enjoys running and tennis, coaching his children in soccer, and spending time with the family.
