Family Medicine Walk-in Clinic

U-M Family Medicine offers Saturday walk-in hours from 11-5 pm for ALL U-M Family Medicine patients.  We know that you’re busy and sickness doesn’t always happen during business hours. We’ve opened our doors for walk-in hours on Saturdays to make your week a little bit easier.  At the walk-in clinic, you’ll see a member of the Family Medicine team.  The physician treating you will have complete access to your medical record and a strong working relationship with your primary care physician. Appointments are not necessary, so just come in.  Hours are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic can provide diagnoses and non-emergent services for all U-M Family Medicine patients such as:

  • Allergies
  • Colds, coughs, sore throats and ear aches
  • Eye infections
  • Fever
  • Lab and x-ray
  • Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Screening of chronic diseases
  • Sprains and simple broken bones
  • Skin rashes
  • Simple lacerations
  • Urinary tract infections

If you are in doubt about the seriousness of an injury or have any of the following conditions, please visit the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911:

  • Chest pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Severe bleeding or pain
  • Severe fractures or lacerations

The Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic cannot process FMLA or disability paperwork or prescribe chronic pain medication refills. And, physicians will be unable to treat individuals who do not currently see a U-M Family Medicine primary care provider.
