Asthma Diagnosis and Treatment

The Michigan Medicine Asthma Program is designed to provide personalized treatment for all asthma patients,  especially those with severe asthma. We perform a detailed history, physical examination and obtain tests that help us to understand the type of asthma that you have, and more importantly, how asthma is affecting your life. We work in a multidisciplinary fashion and coordinate your care with allergy, gastroenterology, sleep medicine and ear nose and throat (ENT) based on your specific needs.

Cystic Fibrosis (Adult Clinic)

The University of Michigan’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at U-M's Cystic Fibrosis Center supports CF patients over 21 years of age and is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It is the largest program of its kind in the state of Michigan, offering a multidisciplinary approach for complete care, along with an active research program with access to the newest treatments as they become available.

Cystic Fibrosis Center Team

The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, located at the University of Michigan’s Cystic Fibrosis Center is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and was created to support patients over 21 years of age to provide dedicated, comprehensive, and coordinated care by a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals that includes doctors, nurses and other health professionals, including dieticians, social workers and physical therapists.

Lung Disease and Respiratory Care (Pulmonary)

Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care physicians at the University of Michigan focus on pulmonary (lungs and breathing) disorders and critical illnesses (conditions such as shock, respiratory failure, and multiple organ failure). Our multidisciplinary teams treat the full scope of pulmonary issues including asthma, COPD and emphysema and cystic fibrosis.

The goal of the University of Michigan Airways Program (MAP) is to improve the lives of patients with airways disease by accessing our strength in airways research to accelerate the development of personalized patient therapies.
