Bronchiectasis

Bronchiectasis is a lung disease in which the airways become larger than normal. As a result, mucus and bacteria have a harder time being expectorated and become trapped. This causes symptoms of chronic cough and sputum production, with periods of exacerbations which may require course of antibiotics to help bring the bacterial burden back to a tolerable level.

Cystic Fibrosis (Adult Clinic)

The University of Michigan’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at U-M's Cystic Fibrosis Center supports CF patients over 21 years of age and is accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It is the largest program of its kind in the state of Michigan, offering a multidisciplinary approach for complete care, along with an active research program with access to the newest treatments as they become available.

Pulmonary Critical Care

A division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan, Critical Care Respiratory Support Services works with every Intensive Care Unit at the University of Michigan Health System, from Neurology to the Trauma Burn Unit with compassionate, licensed respiratory therapists providing the newest breathing treatments.
