Michigan Medicine Financials

In 2012, the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers ended the fiscal year ahead of projections despite a challenging climate and major capital expenditures that are helping us build for the future. Learn more here.

UMHHC's financial stability is also reflected in its excellent bond ratings with both Moody's Investors Service Inc. and Standard & Poor's. This bond rating is among the highest in health care systems across the industry and reflects a strong and sustainable financial position.

The Hospitals and Health Centers are fully self-supporting and do not receive funding from the State of Michigan’s General Fund. UMHHC is a vital part of a financially strong public university system. We understand that quality, efficiency, the best people and excellent leadership are an equation that works for us – and for our entire community.
