*In June 2009, the University of Michigan added another state-of-the-art resource: The North Campus Research Complex. Formerly owned by Pfizer Pharmaceutical, the NCRC comprises 174 acres and 29 buildings, and will give us the depth and breadth to take research to the next level. By expanding total U-M research capacity by 10 percent, the NCRC addition is the University's largest physical expansion in about 60 years.
