Pathophysiology of age-related changes of glucose metabolism, regulation of autonomic nervous system function in aging and impaired homeostasis.
Biography
Dr. Halter has been at the University of Michigan since 1984. His research interests include diabetes mellitus and its complications, altered blood pressure regulation, and regulation of autonomic nervous system function in the elderly. Halter established the Geriatrics Center as its director in 1987. In 2008, he
received the lifetime achievement award from the American Geriatrics Society.
