Dr. Anupama Goyal graduated from Makerere Medical School in Uganda, Africa in 2002 and then earned a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University in New York City. She briefly worked as a consultant for the HIV/AIDS Unit at UNICEF, before moving to Detroit to complete her three years of Internal Medicine residency and a Chief Medical Resident year at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Anu has been a hospitalist for over 6 years with previous work experience at University of Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Goyal joined Michigan Medicine in 2014 as Clinical Lecturer in the Division on Hospital Medicine. She is also the 6B MPLAN Medical Director.
Dr Goyal has a strong research interest in enhancing the complex patient-provider relationship within the dynamic nature of an inpatient medical ward.
