Research

Pathogenesis of gynecologic cancers, with special emphasis on ovarian cancer; The role of stem cells in ovarian cancer development and recurrence; the preclinical and clinical investigation of new treatments for ovarian cancer.

Biography

Dr. Karen McLean received her MD and PhD in cancer biology from the University of Michigan. She continued her clinical training at the institution culminating with fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology. She performs translational research on ovarian cancer, with the goal of improved treatment options for women with this disease.
