Biography
Dr. Ruffin is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He completed his family practice residency at Wake Forest Medical Center in North Carolina. He subsequently completed a family practice fellowship in academic medicine and clinical investigation at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Ruffin's clinical interests include sports medicine, women's health, preventive medicine, and cancer prevention. He sees patients at Briarwood Family Medicine, and serves as the Associate Chair for Research Programs. Additionally he is the first Dr. Max and Buena Lichter Research Professor in Family Medicine.
