Staci Mitchell received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Toledo/Medical College of Ohio and her master of science degree in nursing from the Medical College of Ohio. She has been a nurse at the University of Michigan Health System since 1990 beginning her U-M career as a medical/surgical inpatient staff nurse caring for orthopaedic, trauma, burn, endocrine and urology patients. In 2000, Ms. Mitchell was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and then began working as a nurse practitioner in orthopaedics trauma. In 2005, she joined the Multidisciplinary Urologic Oncology Clinic working with Dr. Cheryl Lee and Dr. Brent Hollenbeck. Ms. Mitchell spends her spare time working to rescue retired racing greyhounds and playing with her own two dogs - Dino and Lacy. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Tim working on home decorating and design projects.
