Biography

Lisa Pavone, M.D., is a Clinical Lecturer in the Section of Vascular Surgery, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of venous disease at University of Michigan's Livonia Vein Center. Dr. Pavone graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with an undergraduate degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Pavone completed her Family Practice residency at William Beaumont Hospital in 2005. After working in private practice, Dr. Pavone joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2007.

Dr. Pavone's clinical interests include injection sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation for the treatment of varicose veins. She also has a special interest in medical journalism and community medical education. She has extensive experience as a medical communicator and spokesperson.
