Biography
Dr. James Hayman received his medical and master of business administration degrees simultaneously from the University of Chicago in 1991. Following an internship in Evanston, Ill., he began his radiation oncology residency at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy at Harvard Medical School. He joined the University of Michigan faculty immediately following his residency in 1996 and currently serves as the director of the Clinical Division of the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Hayman's clinical interests include the management of lung, esophageal, breast and central nervous system malignancies. He is also one of the few radiation oncologists active in the emerging area of health services research.
