University of Michigan Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty provide care for all women, regardless of their risk factors. Normal obstetrics is provided by board-certified OB/GYNs and certified nurse-midwives. Our care is based on a family-centered approach with on-going risk assessment and medical management and referral as needed. OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse-midwives specialize in women's health care. We offer general and preventive medicine for women, routine gynecological exams and premarital exams, pregnancy and childbirth care, both for routine cases and those requiring special care, family planning counseling, and menopause and perimenopause counseling.

Certified Nurse Midwife Service

Our Certified Nurse Midwife Service at the Brighton Health Center provides routine obstetrical care for women with uncomplicated pregnancies. Our Certified Nurse Midwives accommodate a variety of delivery methods. We offer: general and preventive medicine for women; routine gynecological exams; pregnancy and childbirth care (both for routine cases and those requiring special care); family planning counseling; and menopause and perimenopause counseling.
