Center for Fertility and Sexuality

Of those couples trying to become pregnant today, 15% will not be able to conceive within one year. The traditional approach to the problem has been to evaluate and treat one partner at a time, usually beginning with the woman. At our U-M Center for Fertility and Sexuality, both partners may be seen together in the Couples Fertility Clinic. Each partner meets with a provider, and some basic laboratory tests are conducted. Based on the test results (provided at the time of the initial visit), gynecology and urology providers discuss a treatment plan with the couple.
