You can help us prevent and treat diabetes. An important mission of the U-M Comprehensive Diabetes Center is ground-breaking research. We are proud to be on the front line of diabetes discoveries, with funding from top agencies such as the American Diabetes Association, the National Institutes of Health, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Clinical research allows us to revolutionize patient care, improve quality of life, and — ultimately — find a cure. This would not be possible without study participants, our partners in the vital research that we perform. People like you can make a difference by volunteering for our clinical studies.
Patients may benefit from study participation by receiving study medications, physical exams, laboratory tests, and/or other medical care, often at no charge. Many studies also need healthy volunteers (people without the disease), so family and friends can sign up too.
If you or someone you know would be interested in helping contribute to medical advances in diabetes, please enroll in UMClinicalStudies.org, see our list of diabetes clinical studies, and contact the Diabetes Center research team with questions.
