The University of Michigan Health System is home to one of the largest digestive health and liver disease programs in the country, providing prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the gastrointestinal tract and liver. We offer one of the most sophisticated physiology and manometry laboratories in the country and four state-of-the-art endoscopy units.  Our doctors are skillfully trained to perform a variety of gastrointestinal and liver diagnostic procedures with more specialized procedures being performed at the University Hospital Medical Procedures Unit.  In 2015, our physicians performed over 25,000 endoscopies.  We collaborate with referring physicians to diagnose obscure gastrointestinal and liver disorders and provide the most innovative and effect treatments for patients.
